The Knight School of Dance was established in 1986 by Alison Knight who teaches 'Royal Academy of Dance' (RAD) Ballet and 'Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing' (ISTD) Tap and Modern Theatre and holds Registered Teacher Status with both examining organizations. She is also an   Acrobatic Arts teacher.

Pupils are encouraged to have fun whilst learning a variety of skills which will not only help with their dance interests, but will equip them with key life-skills. Enjoy learning an awareness of good posture and technique, self-discipline and a sense of commitment with a love for dance and music in a safe and happy environment.

Examinations are offered in RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern Theatre to those who wish to participate in formal, external assessments. However, Knight School of Dance beleives that dance can be enjoyed by everyone; those who wish to dance for exercise and recreation and those who wish to dance more seriously.
